What is Piano wire or Music wire ?
Piano wire is a kind of high strength carbon steel spring material, which is quenched in lead bath and cold drawn. Piano steel wire has high tensile strength, elastic limit and fatigue resistance. The standard wire diameter ranges from 0.08 to 10.0 mm. The strength of piano steel wire with wire diameter less than 1.0 mm ranges from 2000 to 3480 MPa. Most specifications cannot be replaced by other materials. Piano steel wire is mainly used as dynamic load spring. When applied to valve spring, the diameter range is 1.0 ~ 6.0 mm, and the material defect control and copper content limit are slightly different.
