What is Helical Torsion Spring ?

Most of our common torsion springs are generally helical torsion springs. The ends of the torsion springs are fixed to other components, and as the other components rotate around the center of the spring, the spring pulls them back to their initial position, creating a torque or rotational force.

A torsion spring can store and release angular energy or hold a device statically by rotating a lever around the central axis of the spring body.

This type of spring is usually dense, but there is a pitch between the springs to reduce friction. They exert resistance to rotating or rotating external forces. According to the application requirements, the rotation of the torsion spring is designed (clockwise or counterclockwise), so as to determine the rotation of the spring.

The rings are either closely or separately around the torsion load (at right angles to the axis of the spring). The end of the spring can be wound into a hook or a straight torsion arm.
